This directory was developed to:
- Provide physicians, school nurses, and other health care professionals with an online resource directory of individuals in each county who can be contacted for individual or group counseling for those seeking assistance related to physical activity, nutrition, and/or weight management
- Provide physicians, school nurses, and other health care professionals with an online resource directory of community resources in each county that can be utilized for physical activity/fitness/nutrition educational opportunities or participation.
The directory is made up of two categories - Healthcare Professionals and Community Resources.
Professionals in Healthcare and Related Fields

The directory of Healthcare Professionals includes a partial listing of Physicians, Dieticians, Physician Assistants, Nurses / Nurse Practitioners, as well as those in related fields such as Psychologists and Exercise Physiologists.
Community Resources - Health Educators and Facilities

The directory of Community Resources includes both community health educators as well as local facilities that can provide physical activity / fitness / nutrition educational opportunities or participation. Health Educators include teachers, Cooperative Extension Service Personnel, Certified Health Education Specialists, WV Health Promotion Specialists, and Nutrition Outreach Specialists. Facilities include health / fitness centers, parks, trails, and YMCA/YWCA facilities.
