About Us

The WV Healthy Resources Directory is an initiative developed through funding from the West Virginia Cardiovascular Health Program in the WV Bureau for Public Health, in collaboration with the WV CARDIAC Project, eLearning for Kids, Inc. and the WV Healthy Lifestyles Coalition. The intent of the project is to give West Virginia residents a directory of resources that they can access to find:
  • professional assistance in health issues related to physical activity and nutrition.
  • educators that can deliver messages to individual and/or community groups.
  • facilities or other areas in a community that can be used to participate in physical activities or other health-related events.
Healthcare professionals, health educators, directors of physical activity/health facilities and others that have expertise in helping to lead our citizens to a healthier lifestyle in the areas of nutrition and physical activity are encouraged to submit information so that it can be included in this directory. It is our hope that this Resource can become, through our continued effort, a viable and reliable source to locate individuals and facilities in all areas of the state that can help improve the health of all West Virginians.
